Provincial elections law is still subject to debate inside the Parliament without reaching any agreement. However, the Parliament will vote on the law within the few coming days while disputed items are still under deliberation as parliamentarian blocs are awaiting a consensus formula that suits all parties.
Kirkuk issue is still a major hindrance in the process of proceeding with the law inside the Parliament as Kurdistan Alliance Party insists on rejecting all proposals to deal with Kirkuk with special procedures.
Meanwhile, only five days are left before the Parliament votes on the provincial elections law with two proposals for each disputed point in hope that political parties would approve on a consensus agreement before Tuesday so that the law can be passed by majority.
