Jordan’s King visit to Iraq delayed

Without setting a new date, the anticipated visit of Jordan’s King Abdullah II to Iraq was delayed. Jordan’s King decided to postpone his visit for special reasons which some Iraqi officials said were related to security as Jordan King’s visit agenda was uncovered in a newspaper, thus it was delayed.
For its part, Baghdad Operations Commandment affirmed it was highly ready to secure this visit denying reports saying that the visit has been delayed for security reasons.
While the visit has been delayed until further notice, it does not implicated that it has been cancelled, however, a presidential statement noted that Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has contacted Jordan’s King who confirmed that he will visit Iraq at the right time.
