Erdogan left Baghdad after signing the memorandum of joint strategic

Left Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday evening
after one-day visit during which signed an agreement to establish a
strategic joint cooperation council and the whole Iraqi politicians
from different parties on account «leap» in Iraq's foreign relations.

left Baghdad late Thursday night after a series of meetings held
included Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and President Jalal
Talabani and a number of government officials.
Description
President Jalal Talabani, Thursday, the visit of Turkish Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Ardukan to Iraq «historical», stressing the need to
develop and expand bilateral relations in all areas, according to a
statement by the Office of the President.
A statement by the
Presidency of the Republic of Iraq the day before yesterday evening
that the president Jalal Talabani «held talks with Erdogan, and
discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey».
The
statement quoted Talabani as he described the visit b «historical»
expressing «pleased to sign the Convention at the conclusion of the
strategic talks between Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and his Turkish
counterpart».
The Prime Ministers of Turkey and Iraq announced
Thursday the establishment of a supreme committee for strategic
cooperation, Erdogan headed by Maliki annually and periodically meet at
the ministerial level.
The document included the door to political and economic cooperation and security.
Talabani
stressed that part of the «development and expansion of bilateral
relations in all areas, where good and mutual benefit of both peoples».
The statement quoted Erdogan as his country's desire
«development in relations between the two friendly». Indicating
«Turkey's intention to provide support in all areas of Iraq».
Erdogan
had met with Iraqi President and his two deputies Shiite Adel Abdamahdi
and Sunni Tariq Hashimi, House Speaker Mahmoud scene.
A
statement from the first-Hashemi yesterday «that the visit of Turkish
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraq represents a historic event
and read it and responsible stance, an indicator of a promising future
in bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey».
He added: «We
are pleased with the signing of the Convention Strategy which will be
open to God prospects for cooperation between the two parties and
achieve a new hope in relations between the two neighbouring countries
which is what we want from the time».

part, Speaker of the Parliament of Kurdistan province to visit Turkish
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Baghdad now, came in a timely
manner and would end »post-cold relations» between Baghdad and Ankara
and Erbil.
He added that Turkey «have common interests between them and the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government».
It
considered the Iraqi political circles yesterday that close strategic
cooperation between Iraq and Turkey is a qualitative leap in relations
by all means Iraq's territorial integrity.
According to the
document which announced the formation of a supreme council of
strategic cooperation that «the Prime Ministers of both countries,
chaired by this Council, which is being coordinated by their Foreign
Ministers of the Council's work, and put the final touches to the
agenda of each meeting» and «the ministers concerned in the fields of
energy, trade, investment, security and water resources, will be
members In this Council, with the possibility that the two Heads of
Government decides to include the expansion of the Council of Ministers
and officials in certain areas with the development of bilateral
cooperation to cover those areas ».
