New ministers this week, (hope Jabr and Shahristani are moved)
Iraq to name new ministers
Fri, 04 Jul 2008 04:02:58
Ali al-Dabbagh
A senior Iraqi official says Nouri al-Maliki's government will announce its candidates to fill all vacant cabinet seats next week.
"The
names include six portfolios for the Sunni Iraqi Accordance Front (IAF)
and four for the Shia Unified Iraqi Coalition (UIC) and one ministry
for the Kurdistan Coalition (KC)," Ali al-Dabbagh was quoted by the
Voices of Iraq News Agency as saying on Thursday.
The announcement signals a decision by the IAF to return to the cabinet after almost a year-long boycott.
Al-Dabbagh had earlier said that Maliki would submit the names and their proposed ministries before a parliamentary vote.
"There has been an agreement with the Accordance Front that their share will be six ministerial posts, except
the post of the planning ministry, which will be decided later," he said.
The main Sunni political bloc withdrew from Maliki's cabinet last August amid a dispute over demanding pardon for Sunni Arab detainees and power-sharing.

Dated 7/4/08...Last week ended 7/11/08 (Friday)....haven't heard anything about these candidates. Wish they would stop saying when they are going to do something and actually do it and say..."this is what we have done". Oh well...wishful thinking.
