Turkey supports Iraqi plans to set up transportation route with Europe

(With POL-IRAQ-TURKEY) BAGHDAD, July 10 (KUNA) -- Turkey affirmed Thursday its support to Iraq's intention to set up a commercial transportation route with Europe.
This
came within the announcement of the higher council for Iraqi-Turkish
strategic cooperation aimed at boosting bilateral ties.
The
council will work on formulating a joint economic cooperation strategy
by the end of 2008. The council also will look into cooperation in the
tourism, commercial, military and other sectors.
Visiting Turkish
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed that the commercial
exchange between both states reached USD five billion and might reach
USD 25 billion within three years.
