Press sources said yesterday, quoting banking sources that the Burgan Bank Holds Talks with Kuwaiti investors to buy a share in an Iraqi bank. The newspaper added that the Burgan Bank is also considering buying shares in Algeria and Tunisia.

The Burgan Bank said earlier this month that he has obtained the approval of the Central Bank of Kuwait to buy shares in other banks in the region. In May the bank said it agreed to buy foreign assets worth 194 million dinars from the United Gulf Bank of Bahrain under the programme to expand globally, could not be immediately accessible to officials in the Burgan Bank.
