Chinese c.bank sets yuan mid-point at 6.8567 Empty The great Beijing-Brussels disconnect

Post by yunowu Mon Jul 07, 2008 10:04 pm

Highly-secretive wealth funds, investment funds owned by national governments, have become increasingly active in buying Western assets in the past year, often armed with cash piles from soaring oil prices and trade.....

Post by yunowu Wed Jul 09, 2008 8:10 pm

Two weeks of isolated "incidents" underscore Beijing's concerns that internal issues may prove more problematic for the Olympic Games than international threats.
