My wife passed away on July 19th
I hoped that the dinar had rv'd so I could show her the world. We had been to the carribean 3 times and she loved it. We were planning to go to Europe next year. My wife had gone for heart surgery on April 25th. On May 13th, she was lifeflighted to a Boston hospital. She fought for 8 weeks to try and recover, but she couldn't do it. And now my world has come crashing down on me. She was not only my soulmate, but my best friend. I don't know how I am going to survive without her. She was 48 years old. She will probably kick some Iraqi butt to rv this, but it is too late for me now.

Dear, dear Lenmon,
My deepest felt emotions go out to you. The loss of a spouse is one of the worst kind of losses you can experience.
I stretch out my hand to you and want you to grab it.

I'm so sorry Lenmon - this is so recent that I don't think any words can be useful right now. Do your wife proud........

Re: My wife passed away on July 19th
My heart goes out to you,too
four years ago I lost my husband
in a motorcycle accident
and it's never been the same for me
he was my other self
the affectionate heart balancing my rationalizing mind
take all the time you need to process this
we're here for you
just a keystroke away
in both heart and spirit
if not in physical proximity
still, even in my worst moments
I never forgot to be grateful for the years we shared
Life taught me through him
one of the clearest mirrors of the Beloved I've met so far
the deeper, simpler mysteries of love
and for that, I'll always be grateful
honor the precious love you both shared
in your everyday approach
"In Memory of You
I find an old photograph
and see your smile.
As I feel your presence anew,
I am filled with warmth
and my heart remembers love.
I read an old card
sent many years ago
during a time of turmoil and confusion.
The soothing words written then
still caress my spirit
and bring me peace.
I remember who you used to be
the laughter we shared
and wonder what you have become.
Where are you now,
Where did you go,
When the body is left behind
and the spirit is released to fly?
Perhaps you are the morning bird
singing joyfully at sunrise,
or the butterfly that dances
so carelessly on the breeze
or the rainbow of colors
that brightens a stormy sky
or the fingers of afternoon mist
delicately reaching over the mountains
or the final few rays of the setting sun
lighting up the skies
edging the clouds with a magical glow.
I miss your being
but I feel your presence,
In whatever form you choose to take,
however you now choose to be.
Your spirit has become for me
a guardian angel on high
guiding, advising, and watching over me.
I remember you.
You are with me
and I am not afraid.

There are few words to console the heart in such time of grief but rest assured you have the deepest sympathy from all of us. May God keep your spirit and lift it due time.

Re: My wife passed away on July 19th
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

The only thing that I know to say is:
What would she have you to do, now?
What would she have you to do, now?
