IRAQI PM TO VISIT ROME BY END OF JULY
Iraqi PM to visit Rome by end of July

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki will pay an official visit to Rome by the end of July to meet with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Pope Benedict XVI, according to a statement of the Italian foreign ministry on Tuesday.
“The premier will meet Berlusconi on July 24 and Italian Foreign Minister Franco Fratteni on means to boost bilateral ties and issues of common interest,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq – (VOI).
“Al-Maliki will meet on July 25 Benedict XVI, pope of the Roman Catholic church, to discuss Christians’ condition in Iraq,” the statement added.
The official spokesman for the Iraq government told the VOI on Monday that Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki will visit Germany and Italy by the end of the month to bolster bilateral relations with the two important European countries and to invite companies to invest in Iraq.

El Primer Ministro iraquí Nouri al-Maliki pagará una visita oficial a Roma a finales de julio para reunirse con el Primer Ministro italiano Silvio Berlusconi y Pope Benedict XVI, según una declaración del ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores italiano el martes.
