Phishing Site Detected
Why does my site warn me that this site may be a Phishing site to record my information to take financial or personal information from my computer.
Any software out there to detect this?

Re: Phishing Site Detected
Well it's not a "phishing" site since a "phishing" site is a site trying to act like the original site. If a site tries to act like the original, it's most likely because it wants you to enter your login information -hence the term "phishing".
You avoid "phishing" sites by making sure you go directly to the site and not assuming every link on the internet or those you receive by email are the actual sites. Frauds do this alot through emails trying to act like Paypal, your bank or your credit card company.
We did have an iFrame to Google here for a short period that was setting off phishing alerts. I-frames will frame another website in a window (such as the MySiteMixer site does). The thing is the iFrame is falsely picked up by web browsers as a phishing attempt because the browser notices that you are on one site and requesting a login for another site (in this case Google Talk). The truth is that IFrame actually "is" that other site so no information is compromised since it's not being captured on this site.
We removed the iFrame to stop the alerts so we're not sure why you would be getting them now. If it's a particular page, then email it to me or post it on this thread.

Re: Phishing Site Detected
Admin, this thread and a few others kick off the phishing alert in Vista SP1 (IE 7). The site itself doesn't alert me. I've noticed this occurs from time to time only within threads. Perhaps there's a setting in the background that IE7 doesn't like.

Re: Phishing Site Detected
Couldn't this all be because this site looks so similar to the real IFF site. So your software is alerting you to the the fact that you are not on the real site, but the imitation site... which in this case is a legitimate imitation.
