Iraqi Government and Kurdistan regional government seek to solve rows over oil and gas Law

Kurdistan Alliance List MP Mahmoud Othman revealed a primary agreement between the Iraqi Government and Kurdistan regional government to solve rows between both parties over oil and gas Law. Othman clarified that the meeting between Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki and Kurdistan regional Prime Minister in Baghdad was positive as to solving rows about oil and gas law while it has been agreed to revoke the first draft law approved by the Iraqi government in February 2007, Othman said. He added that Al Maliki will hold another meeting with Kurdistan regional government Neshervan Barazani in the presence of the two Vices President Adel Abdul Mehdi and Tarek Al Hashemi as well as Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Al Hashemi and a number of political parties’ representatives next week in order to agree on a final oil and gas law draft that will be passed to Parliament for ratification.

Yeah that's good. Have another meeting, wait another week then pass it over to parliament who can table it until after their vacation which will end in mid Sept after they slowly straggle back.

Seems like obvious stalling tactics now. Why would they want to pass the HCL when the oil companies are falling over themselves to sign contracts without it. Rolling Eyes

I'm starting to doubt we even need it for our RV. We do need DFI which we are getting with the oil contracts and no HCL. Not to mention the contracts being signed by construction companies. People are complaining about purchasing power, money is coming in and jobs will soon be opening up.

Things are looking good HCL or not!
